MARS
(Multi-point Automated powder Recycling System) is recommended for
quality conscious and high-production powder coating lines where the
powder recovered in the bins needs to be quickly and automatcically
recycled back into the master powder hopper of the coating
equipments (after being sieved and mixed, as required, with
fresh, virgin powder before being reused) as an ongoing process.
For a Multi-point recycling system, an electronic
control unit is provided which allows virgin powder to be mixed with
this recovered powder at the time of dropping into the on-line
sieving system itself. The mix-ratio can be set on the control
panel. Depending on the volume of overspray, timings can be set so
that the powder bin in the recovery system is regularly and
automatically emptied of collected oversprayed
powder.
The sieving system uses a high-efficiency electric
sieving arrangement rather than a pneumatic (one which uses huge
amounts of compressed air) to operate efficiently and at a high rate
of pass-through of
powder.
